The sound of this generation will sing a new song:
Unity  is the Key to Victory
In Christ love and the
fellowship of His body
Bob, Dee and Marilyn

pray you continue to study with us and add to it as the Lord gives you revelation.

We ended last week with transitioning from babies to toddlers to adolescents……and now let us
continue our journey into adulthood……

We say Lord Your taking a l-o-n-g time. Now we are never going to stop growing, but there comes a
time when we become adults. Sometimes it feels like God is sooooo far away….but He is not. We know
He is walking closer to us at that time; because either His Word is true or it is not. He says, ‘He walks
closer than a brother’. He is right there with us. The very mention of His name brings Him there! He is
closer than the very air your breathing right now. He is with us all the time.

Proverbs 18:24
A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a Friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Matthew 28:20
“…teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even
to the end of the age. Amen

Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that He should lie….

John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life……

Sometimes, as an adult He is going to kinda’, seemingly, pull back as we are tested and tried; and
takes us places. In Luke 14:28 it says:

Luke 14:28
For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has
enough to finish it.

We are maturing in the Lord and sometimes it is not pleasant. Sometimes the trials and temptations
we have to go through….

The brother I talked about earlier, who had lost his son, daughter and son-in-law in a plane crash…..
that is not something any of us want to go through…..we never want to go through something like that.
But God allows things to come our way. With Job, satan said to God, ‘If You let so and so happen to him,
he will not serve You.’ God said, ‘Go ahead, but you can not take his life.

Job 2:3-10
And the Lord said unto satan, have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the
earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that fears God, and eschews evil? And still he holds fast his
integrity, although your move me against him, to destroy him without cause. And satan answered the
Lord, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man has will he give for his life. But put forth Your hand
now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse You to Your face. And the Lord said unto
satan, Behold, he is in your hand; but save his life. So want satan forth from the presence of the Lord,
and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown. And he took him a potsherd to
scrape himself with; and he sat down among the ashes. Then said his wife to him, do you still retain
your integrity? Curse God, and die. But he said to her, you speak as one of the foolish women speaks.
What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job
sin with his lips.

Job sat on the ash heap of everything he had, with a broken piece of pottery, scraping the sores on the
top of his feet. His wife come to him and says, ‘Why don’t you curse God and die; look where you are?
He said, ‘I will not because I know my Redeemer lives! Even on this ash heap I am going to have a
prosperous journey.

Job 27:1-4 and Job 42:10
Moreover Job continued his discourse, and said: As God lives, who has taken away my justice, and
the Almighty, who has made my soul bitter, as long as my breath is in me, and the breath of God in my
nostrils, my lips will not speak wickedness, not my tongue utter deceit…..And the Lord restored Job’s
losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

I am going to do it…..I am going to do it! Hallelujah!

The Apostle Paul likens our journey to a race. He tells about it like a race.
He says in I Corinthians 9:24-25:

I Corinthians 9:24-25
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way
that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they
do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.

Everyone, every runner that runs in a race sticks to a diet; a regiment of what he can and can not do.
He prepares himself to run that race. It says in verse 25 that he is ‘tempered’. He is going to follow this
routine every day until he runs that race; because he is running for a prize.

God is speaking to us. We are running a race every day. Every day we are to be tempered. We are to do
those things we know we are to do; to run the race before us. We are preparing ourselves because
‘CHANGE IS COMING’! We are allowing the Lord to speak to us; to take us places and do things we have
never done before. We are maturing in the Lord. Just because we are adults does not mean we stop
learning, maturing. Just because you have read the Bible through six or seven times and you know
everything that is in it. God is going to reveal a little here and a little there. He is going to give it to us
when we need it. Praise unto God forevermore!

In Philippians 3:12-14 he says this:

Philippians 3:12-14
Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for
which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but
one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are
ahead. I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! In II Timothy 4:7 Paul writes this:

II Timothy 4:7
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

At the end of my journey I want these words to ring true! I have fought the good fight, I have finished the
race, I have kept the faith.

We are growing, maturing, seeking the Lord, trusting in Him. We are tested,
we are s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d…our journey is taking many different roads.

In Romans 1:5-11, reading from the King James Version:

Romans 1:5-11
By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for His
name: among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ: to all that be in Rome, beloved of God,
called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. First, I
thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I
make mention of you always in my prayers; making request, if by any means now at length I might
have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you. For I long to see you, that I may impart
unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established.

In verse five (5) it has the word ‘apostleship’. Apostleship as we are on this journey, means: One sent
on a mission.
Are we Apostles? Are we sent on a mission? We are being prepared to be sent on a
mission. You are being prepared. All of us are being prepared to be sent on a mission……aren’t we?
So we are Apostles? We do not all walk in the office of an Apostles; and we understand that. But we
have the apostleship. It started with the original twelve. They were all sent out on a mission. They all
had a ‘calling’ from God. They all had a journey to walk and at the end of that journey is where they are.

Peter was hung upside down on a cross, John was boiled in oil three (3) times, but he said, ‘I will not
die until God says it is time for me to die.’  So they banished him to the Isle of Patmos. He had a
mission. He had an apostleship as one sent on a mission.

***Information on John the Apostle***

My information came from two sources:

Tertullian’s Book: The Prescription Against Heretic’s – chapter 36

How happy is its church, on which apostles poured forth all their doctrine along with their blood! where
Peter endures a passion like his Lord's! where Paul wins his crown in a death like John's where the
Apostle John was first plunged, unhurt, into boiling oil, and thence remitted to his island-exile!

Wikipedia’s Encyclopedia

John was allegedly banished by the Roman authorities to the Greek island of Patmos, where some
believe that he wrote the Book of Revelation. According to Tertullian (in The Prescription of Heretics)
John was banished (presumably to Patmos) after being plunged into boiling oil in Rome and suffering
nothing from it.

OK stay with me.

The word
Prosperous means: Favorable, marked by success or economic well being.

We are to be ‘Prosperous’ on our journey. We have our apostleship, we are being sent on a mission;
and along this mission it is going to be marked with favor. It is going to be marked with success. Jesus
is going to be there with us. We are going to have creative miracles flow out of us. We will do things we
have never done before. Praise God forevermore!

Because we are willing vessels to be used of the Holy Spirit; to do what God has placed in our hearts to
do. What He has said from the foundation of the world for you and you and you and me. What God had
planned is going to come to pass. If we will seek Him If we will trust Him. If we will allow ourselves to
be tested. If we will allow ourselves to be s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d and pressed…..whatever it takes. If we will
allow it we are going to be sent on a mission and along the way have a prosperous journey.

I am going to be moved from this place and be transitioned over to this place.

I go back to the Apostle Paul. He was a man that trained with the greatest, the greatest teachers of
that time. He knew it all. He knew the scriptures; he knew them backwards and forwards. He knew the
rituals of the temple; he knew what was to be done. He was being trained to do it all. He knew it. Listen
to what Paul said:

Philippians 4:11-12
Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how
to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and
to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need

The word ‘abased’ means: To lower physically, to lower in rank, office, prestige, or esteem, humility.
What did you (the Spirit speaking) say this morning: “Remain humble, before the Lord”. It is very
difficult, it is very difficult, sometimes, to stand up there……I remember when we lived in Winslow, AZ,
it was not ever a church service, there were four of us ladies that would get together and we would
begin praying one for another; and the Lord used me to touch someone. It was very difficult to step
back….we might feel like saying, “Oh look what I did.” It can be very difficult to be humble when the
Lord uses you in that way.

I/we need to understand it is not us. Lord I want to be an open vessel and I want You to use me. Keep
me humble, keep me humble.

The word
‘abound’ means: to be present in large numbers or in great quantity, be prevalent. Paul had
learned these things. How did he learn these things?  II Corinthians 11:23-29 says:

II Corinthians 11:23-29
Are they ministers of Christ? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So
am I. Are they ministers of Christ?-I speak as a fool-I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes
above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often. From the Jews five times I received forty
stripes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was ship-
wrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of
robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the
wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness
often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness-besides the other things, what
comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches. Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is
made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation?

Here is this Paul, great man of God, when Jesus knocked him off his horse and told him He had a great
work for him to do. He has already done these things. He already studied the scriptures; already
learned. He knows it all and probably has plaques all over his office walls. He has a PHD, maybe a
double PHD. I do not know what he can do that he has not already done. He has studied it all, but he
says in the end, in II Timothy, ‘I have fought a good fight, I have finished my race, I have kept the faith. In
all these things as God tested him, as God tried him, as God put him here and there.

People it is not over. If you think you are in a place today where you are never going to have a trial or
test ever again I hate to burst your bubble; because you will have test and trials. You will be s-t-r-e-t-c-h-
e-d, but along the way you are going to have a prosperous journey. The closer you get to Him, the
closer you allow Him to get to you; as you draw nigh to Him, He will draw nigh to you. You are going to
say, ‘I have fought the good fight and my journey has been marked with favor. My journey has been
marked with success.

I can stand before you and tell you that in my transition and in my prosperous journey it has all been
worth it. I have fought the good fight and I am going to stand there. If I should leave here before Jesus
comes back and He should take me home; I am going to stand before Him and He is going to say,
“Enter in thou good and faithful servant.”

Matthew 25:23
“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things,
I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.

Lord, help me to do just that. Help me preach Your Word until You are ready for me to come home….
help me do it.

Very soon people, each of us are going to have a TRANSITION. You had a TRANSITION from where you
were to here. I had a TRANSITION from Tennessee to Georgia. I am about to take another TRANSITION.
Look out we are all gong to have to say bye-bye to Dee. (laughing) Do you know why we are saying bye-
bye to Dee? God is going to transition Dee and Bob to another place also. They are going some place.
God is going to turn them 360 degrees around.

You are going to be taking a 360 degree turn. You are going some place you have never thought you
would be going. That is why we are saying bye-bye to Dee. She is not going to be here; she will be
ministering; giving to people what God has placed in her heart. God does not give us what we have to
keep it…..but we have to be here for a time. We have to be prepared. We are like that butterfly. Do not
try to leave the Larva to soon; stay in there and let God totally prepare you; that He may fully equip you
so that when you come out you will come out like the eagle. You will soar high. You will not have a
broken wing but you will have two good wings to fly high. Guess who is going to be the Air beneath your
wings?........shouting and praising our Lord.

I turned on the TV this morning, that was usual for me to do on a Sunday morning; but there was a
message given that I was to impart to you. I said, “Where do I go with all this? Where do I stop with all
this? How do we have a prosperous journey? How do we get where we need to be? We can not do this
on our own. If we could we would not need Jesus; if we could we would not need the Holy Spirit. How
do we get along this prosperous journey? Right here in the Book of John, the fourteenth chapter and
the sixteenth verse; (John 14:16) it says:

John 14:16
“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another’ Helper, that He may abide with you forever.”

That He may abide with you forever…..that He may abide with you forever…..that He may abide with you

Jesus said, ‘I have to go, if I do not go the Helper can not come.’ He is called the Parakaleos: One called
along side.

Strong’s Concordance word meanings:

Another -   #243 – Allos meaning: one of the same kind.

Helper  - #3878 – Parakaleos meaning: comforter, intercessor, one called along side

I heard a preacher say, this morning, the Holy Spirit has an assignment and His assignment is you, you,
you and me. He has an assignment. He will abide with us forever. He will teach us. He will lead us; He
will guide us. He will comfort us; if we do not know what to pray; when we do not know how to pray.
When we do not have words; it is so deep down on the inside that groanings come forth. He takes
them before the Father and lays them out before Him and says, “There they are”.

You make a mistake you do something you should not do; do you think the Holy Spirit is going to leave
you? No, no my friend, He abides with you forever. The only person who can take you away from the
Holy Spirit is you! He abides with you FOREVER!

He, the Holy Spirit is on assignment! Do not ever call Him an ‘it’ or a ‘thing’. He is a person. You heard
Dee tell us, last week, He can be grieved. He speaks, He talks; He does all of these things. He is a
PERSON! He has attributes; he has characteristics. He is the Third Person of the Godhead. And He is
called along side us to comfort, lead and guide us along our journey; that our journey will be

When you have something so deep on the inside what do you do? Do you go running to this person or
that person? I start crying out/praying in an unknown language. The Holy Spirit did not come that I could
pray in an unknown language….He came to stand along side of me….. but that unknown language is
given unto me so that I can speak only to the Lord.

My mind is fruitless. It does not get in the middle of my prayer. It can not mess up the purpose because
my mind does not understand what is going on, unless God reveals it to me. So I can pray and I can
pray without praying amiss; and no one around me knows what is going on. But the Holy Spirit knows.
He is praying through me to the Father.

I can get a call on the telephone to pray for so and so. I may ask, “What is wrong?” The answer, “I do
not know, just pray for them.” We begin to pray in that unknown language and the Holy Spirit begins to
quicken on the inside of you and you begin to understand and maybe, some place along the line, you
may find yourself speaking in English and it will be what that person needs. You say, to yourself, “I did
not know that person needed that.” But the Holy Spirit knew what they needed and He had you pray for
that need. He is called along side.

You may get a nudge at 2 AM and you may have this unction….you can not get away from it….you have
to get out of bed and get on your knees and start praying….but what do I pray for? I do not know so I
begin to pray in my prayer language and the Holy Spirit begins to work and take us where we need to
be….what we need to be praying for.

So all along the way no matter what we come against; know matter what test or trial comes before us,
we can have a prosperous journey. We can have this prosperous journey because the Holy Spirit is
here on this earth and His is not leaving this earth until the Church leaves the earth. Praise God

Listen! Listen! I want you to understand. I want you to hear the Word that was given last week. I want it
to come alive on the inside of you again. Get a copy of the tape, make a copy and put it some place;
maybe in the back of your Bible. Get it out and read it. Read the Word God gave us today after we
transcribe it; because God is taking us some place.

We must understand we can not just sit down on our blessed assurance and wait for it to happen. OK
now….this is the Word given last week:

Prophetic Word from the Lord:
Change coming, there is a great change coming and more revelation of My Spirit will be revealed to
this generation. I am sending you forth I am sending you forth to the four winds; to the four corners;
that you may preach My Word that you may preach salvation unto the poor, maimed, halted, depressed
and deprived; that they may know that I care. You will go forth in My Love. You will go forth with My
Compassion. You will go forth in the Power of the Spirit; My Spirit, says the Lord. He will lead you and
guide you. It s a deeper thing; deeper wells of My Spirit and My heart today for He knows, He knows the
deep things of My heart. And He is out to reveal in a greater way to this generation things to come.
Things that I have promised. Look, look for the unusual, do not look for the same, but look for change.
For change is coming; great change is coming.

Fear not! Fear not! To step out and know, and know that I am the One who is changing things.
(pausing…worshiping)….regeneration. I have brought you for such a time as this and now I send you
forth. I send you forth this way and that; for I am changing this to that. Your destiny is before you.

Glory be to God! Your destiny is before you….Your journey.  As we TRANSITION from one thought to the
other we are having a prosperous journey.  It is a journey and what a wonderful journey it can be if you
will allow God a little here and a little there….line upon line, precept upon precept…..for Him to take you.

We need to understand that God has brought people to this place to prepare them, equip them. You will
not be staying here…you will be going forth from this place into your destiny.

People out there are calling, the maimed, halted, poor, deprived, etc., they are calling and we need to
go there. They are yearning for what you have….for what God has placed on the inside of each of us.

I have such a fire shut up in my belly. Lord let me go…but do not let me be like that butterfly and try to
get out to soon.

God has called us here for a time and a season, to prepare us and sent us forth. There is an
understanding, there is a knowing down on the inside of you that speaks unto you. I can say that
because it has happened to me and I know it will happen again. When the time comes God will let you
know and He will say, “This is the way, walk ye in it.”

As you fast and pray and seek Him, as you allow Him to teach you, to guide you; as you allow the Holy
Spirit to be your Teacher I pray that each of you would have a prosperous journey. When the time is
right you will go forth and impart unto others what God has given you.

We pray: That on each persons heart, each journey God has placed upon your heart, that He will keep
you exactly where you need to be and that you will know….that you will know….that you will know, that
you know when it is time to go. Lord I thank You, I praise You for Your Word. I pray it is planted like a
seed on the inside of us. That it has been planted in good ground and will bring forth a harvest and that
in the next days, weeks, and months to come it will go forth from this place and touch the nations. I
thank You Lord….I thank You Lord. Amen, amen and amen.
