At the beginning of the week I heard the Lord speak to me the word, ‘TRANSITION’.
Around 6:00AM I sat down and began writing down what I felt the Holy Spirit telling me. I wanted to
watch Pastor Benny Hinn on TV at 6:30AM so I turned the TV on and muted it until then.
On his program that morning, he had a guest speaker that I did not particular want to hear. (We all have
our favorite speakers and preachers) But this particular day I was to hear him. As this Pastor began to
speak he began telling what the Lord had placed in his heart to give forth that day, it was exactly what
God was speaking to me. Isn’t God awesome?!?
God began to expand upon what He has given me and the word from this Pastor. I realized it was meant
for me to turn on the TV that morning and hear that word; which was the first confirmation.
The Lord is talking about TRANSITION! He is going to take us some place and if you will help me a little,
we are going to get there together.
Transition: along this time of transition we are going to go on a prosperous journey. The journey is
to be prosperous. I do not just mean monetarily. I mean a prosperous journey no matter what is down
the way. No matter what is around the bend. No matter what kind of trial or temptation may come our
way. We can say down deep on the inside of us at the end of our journey, and “It was prosperous.”
This particular person, if I was to call his name you would know him and when I begin telling you what
he said I know you will figure out who it is, but that is all right. This man began to talk and say he had
lost a daughter and son-in-law and he lost another son. He had lost his wife two years ago; a wife of
years. But all along his journey it has been prosperous because God has been with him all the way.
His road was hard. It was difficult to go day after day without his spouse along side him helping and
encouraging him. Lifting him up when he was down. Now she was in heaven and he was here still on
earth…but he said, with tears flowing down his face, ‘That he had taken a prosperous journey.’
Praise be unto God! We are going to learn more about that prosperous journey we are on. I may seem
be getting ahead of myself, but I am not because I believe the Holy Spirit is leading as I am allowing Him
TRANSITION means: Passage from one stage, subject or place to another.
As the seedling grows from one stage to another….
so do we in Christ.
What has God been telling us? What He spoke to us this morning (posted on the website under
prophetic Words) and I am going to repeat what He said to us last week, but later on in the message.
TRANSITON is ‘Change’. Anything alive has to change. It has to grow; or it is dead! It is stagnant. It is like
a sponge. If a sponge is to be useful it must be wrung out.
Change means: A movement, development, evolution from one state, from style to another. When I
began to write this down I said, “Oh the word ‘evolution’ is going to stir trouble; people will say, EEEK!
no, we do not like that word’. But listen to what it means:
As silly as the picture is…is the idea…we evolved from apes.
EVOLUTION: Development, fruition, growth, progress, progression, advancement. Those are words that
mean the same as ‘evolution’. Evolution means this: The act or process of going from the simple or
basic to the complex or advanced.
Look how the enemy has taken that word, evolution, and turned it around so every time you hear it, in
your mind, you think of the negative theories. I want to repeat the meaning: Evolution means: An act or
process of going from the simple or basic to the complex or advanced.
God is taking us some place people. We are going through transition right now. Sometimes transition is
not a place we want to be. Our flesh does not like change. It likes everything mundane; the same thing
over and over every day. We are used to this here and that there. We like doing the same thing every
I am reminded of Dee’s father. Every morning he got up, he had the same thing for breakfast at the
same time every morning. There is just a little bit in me that says change something, even if it is only
two seconds different. But it was the same thing every morning; a habit.
If you want something NEW from God…..do something you have never done before. Take a different
to work. Get up from the other side of the bed. Do something different!
I want to share something else because it is so fitting with where the Lord wants to take us today.
Michelle, Dee’s daughter, was telling us that she was working out at the pool and she saw this beautiful
butterfly by the bushes. She continued working then went over to look at this butterfly; because it was
so beautiful. When she turned to see it, it was gone.
Looking around she noticed it had fallen in the pool. She went over, pulled it out and realized why it had
fallen into the pool. It was deformed; one of the wings was not completely formed, like it should have
been……this spiked my interest.
So I went on the internet to read about butterflies; I wanted to make sure I had my facts straight; before
I said anything. A butterfly starts out as a caterpillar. He attaches himself/herself to a leaf, than he
begins to form the larva/cocoon. At a certain time, a time known only to God something happens. A
hormone is secreted and that caterpillar turns into a beautiful butterfly.
Now what if someone comes along and said, ‘Let me just poke or pick at it a little; or the enemy comes
in and says, “I am going to break in and get that larva out and take that butterfly out before it is ready.
So one of its wings will not form right and it will fall into the pool and drown.
Apply that to our lives. We are in a state where God has placed us; in a state of larva, if you will. That He
has put His protective coating over; that He has put His angels around. He has put us in a quiver. The
Bible says we are in the quiver and our shaft is being polished.
“….And He has made My mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His hand He has hidden Me, and
made Me a polished shaft; in His quiver He has hidden Me.”
While in that quiver and it is not time for us to be taken out of the quiver; yet because if it was time we
would not still be there. I believe I heard Joyce Meyers say, one time, ‘That if you think you should be
married, than you would be married.’ So let us go along with where we are right now. It is not time for
to go out. It is not time for that arrow to be taken out of that quiver, to be shot……but very, very soon.
Because the Lord is speaking to us; He is preparing us. He is setting things in motion……..that it is
going to happen very, very soon.
So do not try to get out to soon….do not be like that butterfly. Maybe he got tired of the place he was in
and started kicking; when he should not have been kicking and he came out to soon.
He might say, “Well I am tired of waiting; I am tired of waiting, it is time for me to go. I have been in this
place long enough. So I am just going to start kicking and doing things I should not be doing and I know I
should not be doing; but I just do not care.”
I am tired and I want to do this thing. I do not want to wait anymore. I hate waiting! Lord, forgive me but I
do not like this place very much.
When something has been spoken in to my life or someone is going to give me something, I want it
I am just a big enough kid to admit it. At Christmas time I would know there is a present in the house for
me. I will go all over that house looking for it. I do not want to wait until Christmas Day….I want to know
what I got right now!
My mother could never hide anything from me because I would find it. She would have to take it to
someone else’s house because I would find it here. She hid it in the attic one time and I found it. Glory to
God He is in this place, at this time and at the season for a reason; and we need be to content….where
we are today.
All right do not forget Evolution. Do not forget what it means. Do not forget TRANSITION. I want you to
keep these words and the meaning in your minds…..study them until they become reality. I want you to
understand that we are going from the simple or basic to the complex or advanced. I want to spend a
little time this morning talking about TRANSITION…..and along the way having a prosperous journey.
Do you remember….oh I know you do, when Jesus found you? When He picked you out/up and placed
your feet on solid ground? Do you remember that day? Boy do I; Glory be to God! When He washed your
sins away and you became a ‘new’ creature? When you said, “Yes” to Him and know to the devil?
Do you remember that day, when you began a ‘transition’ in your life? You were transitioned from death
into LIFE….and you began a journey.
Do you want to stay on the milk and pabulum or are you ready for some meat of the Word? Okay, the
Lord has spoken this scripture to me and I said, “Lord they are not ready for that scripture.” But He
wants me to read it so I am going to read it. You can turn and read along if you want. It is Ezekiel 16:6-
11……help me preach it and we are going to go somewhere.
“And when I passed by you and saw you struggling in your own blood, I said to you in your blood, ‘Live!’
Yes, I said to you in your blood, ‘Live!’
I made you thrive like a plant in the field; and you grew, matured, and became very beautiful. Your
breasts were formed, your hair grew, but you were naked and bare.
“When I passed by you again and looked upon you, indeed your time was the time of love; so I spread
My wing over you and covered your nakedness. Yes, I swore an oath to you and entered into a
covenant with you. and you became Mine,: says the Lord GOD.
“Then I washed you in water; yes, I thoroughly washed off your blood, and I anointed you with oil.
“I clothed you in embroidered cloth and gave you sandals of badger skin; I clothed you with fine linen
and covered you with silk.
I thank You Lord. That is what happened when we were ‘Born Again’. Jesus looked down and saw us.
He saw us then He picked us up. We were thrown out into the field. We were discarded….but God said,
“I want that one!” He then reached down and picked us up and placed our feet on ‘the Solid Ground’
I do not know about you but I had myself in some messes that I could not have gotten out of. The more I
tried to get out….the deeper I got in, but when I slid off that chair and onto my knees, that day, and said,
“Lord this is what I have been looking for all along.” Why did it take me so l-o-n-g to see it? There was a
veil over my mind. I could not understand it. I kept trying to reach for something and it was not there. Oh
but then one day JESUS took that veil from my mind…..somebody was praying for me! Who are you
praying for today? Whoever DO NOT STOP! DO NOT STOP!
That person did not stop praying for me. I know my mother was praying for me. I would hear her at
night, in her room, beside her bed, on her knees. You have to know for my mother to be on her knees….
she meant business; because physically it was very hard for her to get on her knees. I heard her
praying for me, praying for all her children. My mother went home to glory before I was saved, but I
believe God, in His Love and Mercy raised up another person to pray for me. You are sitting here this
morning and you are Born Again, because someone prayed for you. so, I say again, who ever you are
praying for, DO NOT STOP!.......prayer works!
Pray that veil would be removed from their mind and they would have knowledge of who JESUS is.
Now….I will move over here, on the Lord’s side. When we have been ‘Born Again; I do not know about
you but everything with me was different. The grass was greener. The flowers were brighter. The sky
was brighter; everything was wonderful! I was on a ‘high’ for days. I do not think my feet touched the
ground for days. I would walk in and I…I…I would speak to people I had never spoken to before. I would
be smiling from ear to ear. It was a wonder I did not got fired! I would be going down the road
interceding for that person or that one. I was going everywhere talking to everyone. I remember one
time I was in this room and a woman said to me, very quietly, “You have not been the same since Jesus
I was jumping all over the place and I yelled something about the fact when I find Jesus, I think I said, I
did not find Him, He found me! Everybody in that place hear me, I was walking down
everything I did well one time I went up and a girl was sitting at her desk and she was struggling with
something in her eye. I just went up (it was not me) and touched her on the back and she went, “Whoa!
Whoa! OK it came out”. Whatever was in her eye came out. People would come to me and ask me to
pray because the glory of the Lord was all over me. But you have to be so careful as ‘new’ born babies
because sometimes babies do things they should not do. At the same time God was taking me/us/them
on a journey.

Some ‘new’ Christians never get any further than being a ‘new’ born. God will start you out on milk
because your system can not take anything else. You can not handle solid food. A ‘new’ born baby can
not handle it. They have to drink milk and when you begin introducing them to solid food you have to
really, really make it watery; because they can not take it; there system will not digest it.
As a Christian, if you will seek God, if you will pray unto Him and let Him take you on this journey; let Him
take you off the milk; let Him give you a little pabulum; let Him graduate to baby food, then junior food…..
He will take you to higher places in HIM.
Some Christians do not want to go any further than the milk. I know you have all heard this before, ‘but
sometimes you have to part the whiskers to put the bottle in’. Bless them God, God still loves them.
are saved and on their way to heaven. But I do not want to stay a ‘new’ born. I remember when I was a
child my mother told me I walked when I was eight months old. I did not want to mess with that
thing (laughing) I had places to go and people to see and things to do. I wanted to get up and I wanted to
get out. That is why I….my patience runs out sometimes….
He takes us line upon like, precept upon precept. Isaiah 28:10 says this:
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, that
We TRANSITION from ‘new’ born to toddlers. Now….we have to walk a little bit. Now we are going to try
out our wobbly legs and walk a little bit; do some ‘little’ things. We have been sitting under teaching. We
have been doing this and going where the doors were open. We have been going to Sunday School; we
have been seeking sister so and so to mentor us. We have been praying; we have been doing
everything, like reading our Bibles. Now God is saying, ‘I’ am going to take you a little further. I am going
to make you into a ‘toddler’. I am going to have you use your (spiritual) legs a little.
What does a Toddler do when they first learn to walk? They fall…..at first they fall. But mom and dad
usually there with them to pick them up and stand them back on there feet. They start going/walking
again. It does not bother them that they just fell on their bottom…..they get up again. They fall and they
keep getting back up…..If we will allow God to take us line upon line, a little here and a little there……
You may go out there and you may fall but the Bible says He will not let you fall ‘headlong’. He is the One
that is holding your hand.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the LORD upholds him with His hand.
You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness
has made me great.
So, now we are moving a little bit. How we can start understanding some more about he Word. We can
start studying the Word, as we go along.
God is working with us. We may walk into a church building one day and someone is preaching about
the Holy Spirit. Ah…..OK…I do not understand it, but God if ‘HE’ is from you I want Him! So, like a little
child, with that ‘child-like’ faith we go up there and they pray over us and we receive the Holy Spirit.
Now! Now! Now we can go some place…..Now we are moving. We do not understand these people
are still back there on the milk. They do not want it. Bless them Lord….He loves them…..but I want the
‘meat’. I want everything that God has for me…..until He ‘transitions me. Now I am transitioning from
‘adolescence’ to ‘young adult’.
Between ‘here’ and ‘there’, it seems like some of that enthusiasm, I received as a ‘new’ born baby, has
calmed down a little bit; it is not like it was. I mean I do not walk into a room shouting things anymore….
sometimes I think I want to go back there.
There is a feeling about that first encounter. When I remember what it was like when I first received
Christ. It was a wonderful feeling. I can not explain it, it is just a wonderful, warm feeling on the inside;
and sometimes we want to go back there.
But the Spirit says we must go forward. So here we are this young adult and it seems God is teaching
us, leading us a little here and a little there; and the enthusiasm, seemingly, is lost…..but we are
maturing in the Lord.
I Corinthians 13:11
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a
man, I put away childish things.
Does that mean we quit shouting? Does that mean we never walk into a room saying Praise the Lord?
Of course not! But God is taking that enthusiasm, that ‘new’ born thing and adding wisdom. My Bible
says, ‘If anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask God who give it ‘liberally’…….doubting nothing…..believing.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will
be given to him.
Receive what God has for you. As we go through our young adult time, spiritually we begin to grow in
Lord. He takes us to this place and that place; He then TRANSITIONS us into adults.
