I was talking with the Lord and said, ‘Welcome New Year 2012’, may all things
become new this year. I then heard Him say to me, ‘Write about the new things in
My word’; so here is some new things because of¬¬¬¬-

1)        A NEW song:

Psalm 33:3: Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy.

Psalm 40:3: He has put a
new song in my mouth-Praise to our God; many will see it
and fear, and will trust in the LORD.

Psalm 96:1: Oh sing to the LORD a
new song! Sing to the LORD, all the earth.

Psalm 98:1: Oh sing to the LORD a
new song! For He has done marvelous things;
His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory.

Psalm 144:9: I will sing a
new song to You, O God; on a harp of ten strings I will sing
praises to You.

Isaiah 42:10: Sing to the LORD a
new song, and His praise from the ends of the
earth,….

2)        A NEW thing:

Isaiah 43:19: Behold, I will do a new thing (Fixation, passion), now it shall spring
forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in
the desert.

3)        A NEW way:

Hebrews 10:19-20: Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by
the blood of Jesus, by
a new and living way (Method, technique, mode, system, approach,
manner)
which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is His flesh, and having
a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full
assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our
bodies washed with pure water.

4)        A NEW Covenant:

Hebrews 8:13: In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete.
Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Jeremiah 31:31 & 33-34: Behold, that days are coming, says the LORD, when I will
make a
new covenant (Agreement, contract, treaty, promise, pledge) with the house of
Israel and with the house of Judah-….”But this is the covenant that I will make with
the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put ‘My law in their
minds’, and ‘write it on their hearts’; and I will be their God, and they shall be My
people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor and every man his brothers,
saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the
greatest of them, says the LORD. for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will
remember no more.”

I Corinthians 11:25: in the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying,
“This cup is the
new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in
remembrance of Me.”

Mark 14:24: and He said to them, “this is My blood of the
new covenant, which is
shed for many.

5)        A NEW Commandment/Testament:

John 13:34-35: “A new commandment (New directive, demand, order instruction) I
give to you that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one
another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have, love for one
another.”

Hebrews 9:15: And for this reason He is the Mediator of the
new covenant/
Testament
, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the
first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal
inheritance.

6)        A New creature/man:

II Corinthians 5:17: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation (Formation,
conception, design)
; old things have passed away; behold, ‘all’ things have become
new.

Ephesians 4:22-24:….you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man
which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit
of your mind, and that you put on the
new man (Creation in righteousness of God) which
was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Colossians 3:10: Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with
his deeds, and have put on the
new man who is renewed in knowledge according
to the image of Him who created him.

7)        NEW mercy:

Lamentations 3:22-23: Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, because
His compassions fail not, they
(His mercies) are new every morning; great is Your
faithfulness.

8)        NEW born/life:

John 3:3: Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless
one is
born again (Born of water and spirit), he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

I Peter 2:2: ….as
newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may
grow thereby, for indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

I John 5:12:
He who has the Son has life (existence, time); he who does not have the
Son of God does not have life.

John 14:6: Jesus said to him, “
I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to
the Father except through Me.”

9)        A NEW spirit and heart:

Ezekiel 11:19: “then I will give them
(spirit, mind), and I will put a
new spirit (strength, courage, character, will) within
them, and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in My statutes and keep
My judgments and do them, and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.”

Ezekiel 36:26: “I will put
My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes,
and you will keep My judgments and do them….”

10)        A NEW tongue:

Mark 16:17: “And these signs will follow those who believe, in My name they will
cast out demons; they will speak with
new tongues (language, dialect); they will take up
serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will
lay hands on the sick and they will recover.”

Acts 2:4: And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with
other
tongues
, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

11)        A NEW name:

Isaiah 62:2: The Gentiles shall see your righteousness and all kings your glory. You
shall be called by a
new name (Christian love name), which the mouth of the LORD will
name.

Revelation 2:17:”He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the
churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And
I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a
new name written which no one
knows except him who receives it.”

Revelation 3:12: “He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My
God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the
name of the city of my God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven
from My God. And I will write on him
My new name.

12)        A NEW heaven and earth:

Isaiah 65:17: For behold, I create new heavens (space, universe) and a new earth
(World, globe, plant); and the former shall not be remembered or come to mind.

II Peter 3:13: Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for
new heavens and
a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

Revelation 21:1: Now I saw a
new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and
the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.

Now I am sure you can think of many more ‘news’ in the Word but these are some
that came to me. Before we close, let us examine the word ‘new’ and what it means
in the Bible:

From the Strong’s Exhausted Concordance:

Hebrew word for new (#2319) is Chadash (khaw-daw-sh’) means: New, fresh, or
new thing.

Greek word for new (#2537) is Kainos (kahee-nos’) means: New freshness.
There were two verses that had different words:

1)        Colossians 3:10: the word in Greek (#3501) was Neos (neh’-os) meaning:
New, youthful, fresh, regenerate.

2)        Hebrews 10:20: The word in Greek (#4372) was Prosphatos (pros’-fat-os)
meaning: Previously slain, fresh, made new.

So as we can see they all basically mean the same thing…..something NEW, fresh
and exciting.

I do not know about you but just reading these few verses, seeing how much He
has given us has set my heart aflame and I think I will stop and shout!

Psalm 136:1-26: Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy
endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures
forever. Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures forever: To
Him who alone does great wonders, for His mercy endures forever; To Him who by
wisdom made the heavens, for His mercy endures forever; To Him who laid out the
earth above the waters, For His mercy endures forever; To Him who made great
lights, For His mercy endures forever- the sun to rule by day, For His mercy
endures forever; The moon and stars to rule by night, For His mercy endures
forever. To Him who struck Egypt in their firstborn, For His mercy endures forever;
And brought out Israel from among them, For His mercy endures forever; With a
strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, For His mercy endures forever; To Him
who divided the Red Sea in two, For His mercy endures forever; And made Israel
pass through the midst of it, For His mercy endures forever; But overthrew
Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea, For His mercy endures forever; To Him who
led His people through the wilderness, For His mercy endures forever; To Him
who struck down great kings, For His mercy endures forever-Sihon king of the
Amorites, For His mercy endures forever; And Og king of Bashan, For His mercy
endures forever- And gave their land as a heritage, For His mercy endures
forever; A heritage to Israel His servant, For His mercy endures forever. Who
remembered us in our lowly state, For His mercy endures forever; And rescued us
from our enemies, For His mercy endures forever; Who gives food to all flesh, For
His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven!

For His mercy endures forever.

Malachi  3:6: “for I am the LORD, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed,
O sons of Jacob.

Hebrews 13:8: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday (past), today (present), and
forever (future).

My prayer for you this year is:

May you be encouraged and may His blessings follow you everywhere this coming
year. May He prosper you as never before; physically, spiritually, mentally and
emotionally. May our Lord cover you and increase you in His kingdom more than
ever, as you ever listen for His amazing voice calling, calling you closer and
closer, deeper and deeper into Himself. Amen

Blessings to all
